GWR Singles and Shooting 2024: Pete entered and was knocked out in the bronze quarter-finals of the singles GWR Doubles 2024: at Larkhall, no entries from Saxons GWR Vets Doubles 2024: at Cricklade PC, Jenny and Prue were knocked out in the ¼ Finals of the silver section. Kath and Pete were knocked out in the semi finals of the silver section. GWR Mixed Doubles 2024: at Larkhall, no entries from Saxons GWR Winter Doubles 2023/2024 league table HERE Gotherington Invitation Doubles competition was held on Sunday 21st April results HERE PE Euro Cup Round 1, 2 & Plate R1 2024/2025 Saxons were drawn against RWB Allsorts at RWB on Sunday 27th October. Jenny, Kath, Alan, Charles, Ian and Pete. Saxons won all 5 games We then played Bath Premier Cru in Alice Park, Bath on Saturday 1st February with the same team as the previous match. Saxons battled valiantly but lost 0-5 against some extremely good players Saxons are now in round 1 of the plate competition at home to Cricklade PC 1 on Sunday 30th March

The club runs scores competitions on all playing days and these are split between the winter months and the summer months. Other internal competitions are run from time to time such as the Saxons 3-ender We run a singles Challenge ladder. We occasionally play friendly matches There are various local competitions that individuals or teams can enter Some members join Petanque England (PE) and have access to extra regional and national competitions

Cotswold League Report Saxons Crusaders in the 2024 season are in Division 1 out of 3 divisions after gaining promotion. The teams in Division 1 are Saxons Crusaders, Bassett Allsorts, Cricklade PC, RWB Royals, Boule Hitters, and Nomades Berbers A new team, Saxon Warriors has been entered in division 3 The teams in Division 3 are Saxon Warriors, RWB Bees, Cricklade Magpies, Sherston, Cheltenham U3A, and Nomades Touaregs Next Match Results Saxons Crusaders ended the season 6th out of 6 teams Saxon Warrior’s ended theur season 2nd out of 6 teams For the full reports click HERE Click/touch the button below to see the latest standings

Friendly Matches Against Faringdon on 24th April 2024 Venue: Cricklade leisure Centre Saxons won 5-0 but this was a traing run for Faringdon players who were new to the game and never played on a different terrain.
